Zoo Goes Boo

No tricks this year, just treats! Join us at John Ball Zoo for our annual Halloween celebration, Zoo Goes Boo!
October 16-18 and 23-25 from 10:00am – 5:00pm, John Ball Zoo will again transform into the ultimate Halloween destination with decorations, costumes, candy, and, of course, our amazing animals. Guests are highly encouraged to get in on the Halloween fun and wear costumes.

This year’s Zoo Goes Boo will be a little different in order to comply with the recent Halloween guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). To keep everyone safe, there will be a treat trail lined with decorated booths that are socially distanced from one another. This will allow for a one-way treat trail and fewer groups of guests congregating. The treat booths will also have plexiglass between guests and staff, along with enhanced sanitization for hands and surfaces.
Like the rest of our 2020 season, we will continue with enhanced health and safety measures including limited capacity and date-specific timed entries. Entertainment will be limited because of the need for guests to safely social distance and not congregate in large groups.
Don’t forget! In addition to bringing a mask, we ask that guests please bring their own reusable treat bags or purchase one from the gift shop.
Health masks are required indoors for anyone ages 5 and over, and also outside when a 6’ distance is not possible between other guests. You can have fun with it and decorate a health mask to match your costume.
