Clay Vessels
Students will learn the basics of shaping clay with their hands. They will learn techniques for making pinch pots, and use clay slabs and coils to build unique vessel themed projects and sculptures. Students will also learn how to finish their work using underglazes and glazes. Hand building the forms with wet clay will take place during the first two class sessions and surface embellishment and glazing in the final two sessions.
*Because the ceramic pieces go through both a bisque and glaze firing any student work not ready to take home after the fourth class will be available for pick-up at another designated time.
