Depot to Depot Fall Color Tour involves walking or biking along some of Michigan’s most beautiful scenic drives and experience the vibrant colors of the woods, dunes, and water on October 7, 14, 21, 28. Those who participate in this free self-guided tour receive discounts to area museums, fine fall refreshments and coupons from area businesses. Get your map stamped 10 AM – 4 PM and you will be eligible to win prizes!
Lewis Farm Market & Petting Farm is open all week long and has great festivals every weekend! Visit with the animals (including a camel and lemurs!) and let the kids bounce out their energy. It’s like having your fall bucket list in one place – corn maze, pumpkin patch, apple picking, campfires and more. I highly recommend the Apple Cinnamon Donuts and Kettle Corn.
Pumpkinfest is October 14 in Montague. Pumpkinfest includes a full-day of family-friendly and many pumpkin-inspired events and contests including the pumpkin roll, pumpkin painting and carving, pumpkin seed spitting contest, pumpkin weigh-ins, hay rides, bake sale, apple cider mill, face painting, food vendors, Farmer’s Market, Arts & Crafts fair, and more! I would recommend going early because much of the action closes up early.
Spookley at Weesies Garden Center in Montague. 10 AM – 5 PM every Saturday & Tuesday Evenings 4 – 7 PM. Bring your family to Weesies to hear Spookley’s anti-bullying message and enjoy some fall family fun! $6 per person or $25 per family of five or more. All activities and pumpkin included. Kids 2 and under are free. We went last year and this is amazing for little kids..and the pumpkins were HUGE.
